FUELIowa Member Adrian Dickey Announces Candidacy for State Senate Seat of Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa Senate District 41

FUELIowa is proud to announce Harold Dickey Transport President Adrian Dickey as the Republican Party candidate for Senate District 41. The Senate District 41 seat became available after Mariannette Miller-Meeks defeated Rita Hart in a closely contested race in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District. The special election for Senate District 41 which includes Davis and Van Buren County along with most of Wapello and Jefferson Counties will be held on Tuesday, January 26.
FUELIowa’s relationship with Harold Dickey Oil Corp and Harold Dickey Transport dates back to 1954 when they first joined the association. Adrian Dickey’s grandfather, Harold Dickey, served as Board Chairman for the Iowa Independent Oil Jobbers Association from 1967-1969 and his father, Dave Dickey, served as Board Chairman for the Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores of Iowa from 1997-1999.
Following his graduation from Northern Iowa University in 1995, Adrian returned to Packwood and began working for his family’s oil jobber business loading trucks. 26 years later, Adrian remains committed to the family business serving as President of Harold Dickey Transport and its 100 employees. Adrian has two children, Korynn, 18, and Kyler, 16.
Adrian is an officer and member of the Packwood Volunteer Fire Department (1992-present) and a 29 year member of the Iowa Firefighters Association. In addition to his service in public safety, Adrian is a member of the Iowa Motor Truck Association Board of Directors and Parish Council Member at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield, Iowa.
