Contactless Skimmers

Criminals continue to evolve  and now new skimmers are out skimming info from phones.  FUELIowa members are reminded that the best way to protect their business and their customer base is by frequent inspections and knowing what looks “normal” on and in any device taking payment information.  If members have questions or see something unusual, they should remove the pump from service and contact the FUELIowa office, Weights and Measures, or law enforcement.

The United States Secret Service has issued this memo on contactless skimming devices being employed by criminals.
