In his role as CEO, Gary is responsible for all aspects of FUELIowa and HEALTHAlliance and sits on the RINAlliance Board of Directors. Gary is focused on the development and execution of the strategic plan and reports directly to the FUELIowa Board of Directors.

Gary has been with FUELIowa since 2015. Prior to taking over as CEO, he served as CFO, and EVP. Gary’s focus is to ensure success over the long-term and delivering results that make FUELIowa and its members stronger each day.

Prior to FUELIowa, Gary worked for 18 years at Meredith Corporation in a variety of leadership roles in Marketing and Finance and most recently served as the Executive Director of Retail, responsible for sales, marketing, and distribution of all magazine brands in North America.

Gary earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa, and his MBA focused on Finance from the University of Iowa. He and his wife Gail have four children and reside in West Des Moines.
