New Ethanol Labeling Requirement to Take Effect on January 1, 2018
June 26, 2017 by John Maynes |
The state of Iowa requires all gasoline products that contain ethanol to be labeled with a state mandated decal notifying the consumer that the product contains ethanol. Beginning January 1, 2018, the state will require that all gasoline products containing ethanol be labeled with the new American Ethanol decal shown below. The adoption of the new decal by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship came at the request of the Iowa Corn Growers Association and the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association.
PMCI has a large quantity of the new American Ethanol decals in stock in preparation for the transition to the new label. Please contact John in the PMCI office when you are ready to transition to the new label. Please note that the existing Cleaner Air for Iowa with Ethanol decal remains in compliance with state requirements through the end of the year.
