Reminder: DOT Roadcheck Enforcement Initiative Scheduled For June 4-6
June 4, 2019 |
The annual Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) road check initiative will take place June 4-6. Next week’s road check initiative will place special emphasis on steering and suspension systems. In addition to the special emphasis placed on steering and suspension systems, CVSA inspectors will also conduct the North American Stand Level I Inspection. The Level I Inspection is a 37-step procedure that includes an examination of driver operating requirements and vehicle mechanical fitness.
Drivers should be prepared to present their operating credentials including driver’s license, medical examiners certificate, vehicle inspection report, and record of duty status. Inspectors will likely check drivers for seat belt usage, sickness, fatigue and impairment from the use of alcohol or drugs.
