What is Your Top Business Challenge?

Share your challenges and gain insights on some of the top issues facing our members during the November 15-16 member insight meetings at PMCI's offices. This is your opportunity to help shape how PMCI spends its time serving members. All members are encouraged to participate in these discussions and receive the latest information on regulatory topics.

On November 15, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., participants will recommend educational events and speaker topics for the year, with the primary focus spent on the PAC fundraising event(s) which support PMCI member legislative successes.

On November 16, 10 a.m. to noon, participants will discuss fuels issues related to E15, biodiesel, and tax credits and the underlying calculations. Mike Harrington from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship will be provide an update on the Fuel Quality Testing Program. Future education and training opportunities are also on the agenda. 

After lunch on November 16 (noon-2 p.m.), the meeting will switch gears to issues important to retailers. Afternoon guests include Stephanie Strauss from the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division (ABD), to discuss the Divisions review of Chapter 123, and Michelle Hurd from the Iowa Grocery Industry Association to discuss the bottle bill. Other topics include fuel labeling, the lottery and DRAM insurance.
