Renewable Fuel Infrastructure Grant Program Update
August 15, 2017 by Admin |
In July, the Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Board of Directors approved funding for grant applicants representing 35 projects. In total, the board approved 17 applications for E85-blender dispensers; 15 applications for retail biodiesel installations; 1 biodiesel blender dispenser project and; 2 biodiesel terminal projects.
The project funding balance for the remainder of the state fiscal year which ends in July of 2018 is $950,780.55. The next quarterly meeting for the Renewable Fuel Infrastructure Board of Directors will likely be held sometime in September. PMCI members that are considering making an application for grant funding are encouraged to do so at the upcoming September meeting. It is likely that the funding available for projects will be exhausted at the next quarterly board meeting. Future funding of the program will once again be at the discretion of the Iowa General Assembly during the 2018 Legislative Session.
