PMCI Elevates Member Issues Nationally
October 16, 2018 |
Last week, PMCI CEO, Dawn Carlson met with NACS and PMAA executives to elevate UST testing method options desired in federal rule. Carlson met with fuel and convenience associations from across the U.S. to discuss legislative and regulatory issues on the horizon and help members facing challenges such as skimmers and credit card fees. There is a big push to restrain tobacco sales that states are gearing up for. These meetings are opportunities to share best-in-class experiences and help marketers voice ideas and industry concerns. “With the understanding that ‘all politics are local’, it is important that PMCI actively participates in national policy decisions and advocacy efforts on behalf of the industry,” says Carlson. “Iowa is a leader in fuel quality testing and biofuels. Our association plays a key role in elevating infrastructure needs to advance E15 and RFS RVO’s to expand our members’ profitability through homegrown biofuels.” Experience in offering association health plans is another topic PMCI has helped marketers with.
