Infrastructure Grant Program Application Deadline Approaching

The Iowa Renewable Fuel Infrastructure Grant Program Board of Directors is scheduled to meet on July 17, 2019 to review applications. Completed applications must be submitted to the Department by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28. Eligible projects include new equipment associated with the dispensing of E15, E85, or biodiesel. Retail biodiesel projects must meet the minimum requirement of offering a 2 percent blend throughout the calendar year.
Reimbursement can be for 50% of the costs for specific components of a project with a three year commitment required to sell certain renewable fuels. A five year commitment to store and sell renewable fuels and install certain equipment can result in up to 70% reimbursement or $50,000, whichever is less, for specific equipment or installation costs. Heat biodiesel terminal equipment and/or infrastructure can receive funding for up to $100,000 per project. Locations are eligible to receive one ethanol and one biodiesel grant per site.
