Iowa DNR UST Section Unveiling Electronic Payment for UST Tank Management Renewals

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) UST section has been working with in-house software developers to create an online system for review and payment of annual tank management fees. The UST section will be able to process renewals and mail tags more rapidly as the process will be streamlined and efficient.

• Ability to update owner contact information, A/B operators, and insurance information online
• Upload updated documents that must be submitted with renewals
• Automatic update to UST tanks database for accurate and up-to-date information
• Pay tank management fees for multiple sites at once
• Pay via electronic check or credit card
• Print your updated renewal documents and mail to DNR if desired

The entire renewal process can be handled online. Simply create a user account to log into the UST e-pay website (which once available will be hosted on the DNR’s UST homepage ); review pertinent site data; make any necessary changes; upload new A/B operator certificates or insurance documentation if needed; pay annual fees by e-check or credit card; and your tags will be sent to you in the mail.

It is anticipated that the system will be available for use starting with the 2018 renewal period. The DNR will be encouraging all UST owners and operators to use the online system once the renewal period opens December 2017.
