Iowa DNR UST Section Annual Tank Renewals Now Online

Last week the Iowa DNR UST Section notified PMCI that UST owner/operators would be receiving their annual tank renewal notice in the mail this week. This notice will be different than the notice that owner/operators have received in the past. Over the last year, Iowa DNR UST Section staff have worked hard to implement a new online tank registration process available to Iowa owner/operators. Beginning on December 1, 2017, owner/operators will be able to complete their 2018 Annual Tank Renewal online. The DNR UST Section will not be accepting credit/debit card payments now. Owner/operators will have the choice to pay online via eCheck or print a completed form and mail payment.

PMCI staff has had an opportunity to review the new database and we believe that you will find it to be user-friendly and provide efficiency to the renewal process. In addition to streamlining the annual tank renewal, owner/operators will also be able to update financial responsibility information, Class A/B operator certifications and, update important contact information. The annual tank management fee of $65 per compartment is due by January 15, 2018. You can view the new database here.
